What is the story of Tamako Market?
The show is about a shopping district where some business owners live. The protagonist, Tamako Kitashirakawa, is the main character whose family owns a shop in that shopping district. She comes to meet a bird who has the capability to talk, and it tells her that it’s searching for a bride for his prince. The bird starts living in Tamako’s house and settles. The reason being, he eats too much and gets fat and now unable to fly back. We are not yet sure if he will fly back or just stay there.
Who are the characters of Tamako Market?
The main protagonist of the show is Tamako, owner of Tama-ya’s owner at the shopping district of Usagiyama. She is a friendly character who is very extroverted and likes to spend her leisure time making designs and patterns for her mochi. We also have Dera Mochimazzi, who is a bird who can speak Japanese as well as understand it. After it flies far from its home town, it comes to meet Tamako and forgets about its tasks and settles with her.
