Satyameva Jayate 2 was earlier about to release in Cinemas alongside Salman Khan and Disha Patani’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. Here, we may have had a blockbuster clash between two films releasing on the same day during COVID-19. The original Satyameva Jayate dealt majorly with corruption, while its spiritual sequel Satyameva Jayate 2 tackles corruption at all ends. These include police, politicians, industrialists, and the common man. Here, we will see John Abraham take on a double role of Satya and Jay. Where we will see a film filled with tens of times action and heroism to that of the original film. According to Zaveri, John Abraham will be smashing, ripping, and annihilating the corrupt like in a never seen before way. Meanwhile, we will also witness Divya Khosla Kumar putting on a power-packed display fueled with beauty and grace. Rajeev Pillai and Anup Soni will also be playing important characters. As the name suggests, Satyameva Jayate 2 will be a film that will be celebrating action, patriotism, and heroism.
When will Satyameva Jayate 2 Release?
Satyameva Jayate 2 was scheduled to be released on Eid, 13th May 2021, alongside Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. But the filmmakers reconsidered this decision due to the second wave of Coronavirus Pandemic. The daily cases in India had risen high enough that the release date had to be delayed. This highly anticipated movie was finally announced to have been postponed on 27th April 2021. For this, the production team of the film lead by Milap Zaveri posted a message on their Instagram handles. He alongside the film’s representatives went on to address the current COVID situation in the country. They believe that nothing matters more than the safety and health of their countrymen and patrons, therefore, their film will be postponed to be released at a later date. Till then, they have asked everyone to mask up, help one another, and stay safe. Initially, Satyameva Jayate 2 was supposed to be released back in October 2020, but this was delayed due to the initial days of the lockdown. Later, when the country started opening up, Satyameva Jayate 2 was one of the first ones to resume production. The shoot for the film also ended somewhere along January end or February 2021. After which, the movie had a release date of 13th May 2021, on Eid. Now that the film has been postponed yet again, a new release date hasn’t been confirmed yet. Most likely, the film will only be released after the theatres are at least able to have 50% seating capacity. Where to Watch Satyameva Jayate 2?
As of now, Satyameva Jayate 2 has no plans on being released on an OTT Platform. The film was about to be a theatrical release but had to be postponed due to the second wave of Coronavirus. Many films around the globe have taken the route of being released on OTT Streaming platforms. A similar case is Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai as well. This film was a hybrid release, releasing worldwide in Cinemas while also adhering to COVID-19 protocols by being released digitally. This film was released on Zee’s streaming website, Zee5. This method could also have been used for Satyameva Jayate 2, which would have brought in the income for the production team.
