The first detail about the gameplay was revealed in the PlayStation Blog post and in that we also got some details on the story as well. The story of the show takes place a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7. Ethan and his wife Mia are living happily together and put the nightmare behind them which was Baker’s plantation house. But their peaceful life comes to a halt when Chris Redfield returns to their life and sets of a chain of events that sends Ethan to the village to seek answers and he ultimately finds him in a mysterious village. This is a very interesting thing that was mentioned here was Chris was responsible for something that happened to Ethan and it is still unknown but in the trailer, we can see that Chris was shooting someone and may it was Mia because Ethan shouts his lungs out when the person on the ground was shot. But I could be wrong as it can be a new character or a new person in Ethan’s life who he cares about. But as time passes we will see new details on it sooner or later. The gameplay is said to be one of the main focuses of the game in which players will have explored in order to gather valuable items. The village itself is called an “Important character” which has many buildings which can be accessed by the players. But exploration isn’t going to be easy as there are many enemies in the village that are extremely deadly but those that are willing to explore will find secrets. It has a similar vibe to Resident Evil 4 that for those who don’t know is one of the best games of all time and it will be great to see how the team behind the game will let us explore the village. In this game, the enemies in the game will have Werewolves in the game which is something that was the least expected thing that will be in the Resident Evil game. But there were many more enemy kind in the game which was revealed in a playtest report, there are going to be enemies that will be carrying swords and also had the ability to grab and bite the player as well. There are going to cave in which there are creatures called “Strigoi” and on top of there witches in the caves as well which will be able to control the Strigoi going by the name of “Scarlett”. More details on Resident Evil Village is going to be revealed so during the TGS (The Tokyo Game Show) and it was confirmed by Capcom. It will be interesting to see what the game will have in store for us.
