What is Penny Dreadful: City of Angels about?
Set at almost 40 years after the original series, in the 1930s, Los Angeles, a time and place infused deeply with Mexican-American folklore and social insecurity, the characters of the show are at a clash with the divinity, Santa Muerte, though others are affiliated to the Devil. When a dreadful murder shocks the city, Detective Tiago Vega and his partner Lewis Michener gets entangled in an epic situation reflecting the rich history of the city.
