The film was earlier set to release in 2020, but due to the restrictions of the pandemic outbreak the shooting of the film didn’t complete and hence it took more time for the makers to resume the shooting and at last now have scheduled at an approximate date of release of the film. But, much of this depends on the fact that how a film that has been released prior to Mumbai Saga performs at the box office because everything has changed after Covid 19 outbreak.
Cast & Plot Details
The list of the cast of the film- Mumbai Saga is quite long, starring John Abraham in the lead role as Ganpat Ram, Suniel Shetty as Sada Ana, Emraan Hashmi as Inspector Ambar, Rohit Roy as Jaykar Shinde, Gulshan Grover as Nari Khan, Prateik Babbar as Shyam Jadhav, Jackie Shroff, Kajal Aggarwal as Seema Rao, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sharman Joshi as Inspector Veer, Pooja Hegde as Parineeti Deol, Ivan Sylvester Rodrigues as Sanjay Kumar, Samir Soni as Sunil Khaitan, Pankaj Tripathi, Sonu Sood, Rohit KaduDeshmukh as Sameer Shinde, Anil Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Ronit Roy, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Huma Qureshi and Manoj Bajpai. It seems that Mumbai Saga, has added all the prominent actors of Bollywood but it was quite necessary because the subject of the film demands so. The film is based on the story of the time of 1980s and 90’s when people’s mindset started changing of closing down mills and starting malls instead of in the financial capital of India that is Mumbai. At that time, mall owners started acquiring old mills that use to functions since the British era in order to construct malls that would definitely give great money as their incomes but the negative side of this change was never experienced by us. The people who used to work in these mills became unemployed as soon as it was closed; still, there are many mills in Mumbai that are still non-functioning even now. It is said that John Abraham is playing the role of a gangster that certainly makes much sense to the above-mentioned plot and Emraan Hashmi who is playing the role of an Inspector tries everything to stop him but the main story will be known only after you give Mumbai Saga a watch.
