Let’s talk about it all.

Plot

Jujutsu Kaisen is centered around a world of sorcery. There are all kinds of magic here, even universities teaching magic like the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College. The show features Shamans, Humans, and Curses. Shamans are basically people with insane magical abilities. They’re above human for sure but aren’t all that physically different either. Curses are manifestations of things like hatred, envy, etc. And humans are, well, us. Normal people unrelated to any of this. Yuji Itadori was just any other guy. He had an amazing physique and natural talent when it came to sports and the field. However, he had no interest in running around on the track. So he decided to join the Occult Research Club. He joined it for fun but he had no idea things would get so serious so quickly. A cursed object is brought into the club. Yuji comes across a Shaman named Megumi who had been to sent to retrieve the object. Things get out of hand when the spirit attached to the object (a finger) starts roaming around in school wreaking havoc. To save his friends and Megumi, Yuji decides to swallow the finger, hence giving himself magical abilities from the curse. The finger belongs to one of the most powerful Cursed Spirit named Ryomen Sukuna. In the golden age, all the sorcerers had to come together to defeat Sukuna. And even then, he still existed with his remains scattered so he could come back someday. Having consumed Sukuna’s finger curses Yuji permanently. This plunges him into the world of Shamans. Will he be executed by the Shamans so that Sukuna is blocked from coming back? Or will he be assisted to become stronger? Megumi’s teacher, Gojo Satoru takes Yuji in to hopefully make things better for his future and thus the saga continues.

The first season adapted from the introductory arcs all the way until the Death Painting arc from the manga. If we follow the manga serially, the next arc it should cover is Gojo’s Past Arc.
