Apple TV+ is Apple’s attempt at the video-on-demand streaming service. Debuted on November 1, 2019, after the initial announcement during the March 2019 Apple Special Event. Subscribers can view the Apple TV+ content through the Apple website and as well as through the Apple TV app. Initially, Apple TV+ had a rough start. as they were only able to launch the service only to 100 countries, rather than the early reported target of 150 countries in the global launch. For their services, Apple doesn’t depend on other third-party services to distribute their shows, rather than they depend upon themselves. As said before, Apple TV+ didn’t have a good start. in early 2020, Apple TV+ showed poor growth and subscriber numbers, when compared to its competition. But later on, Apple decided to be more competitive, and thus they began to get the license of many older television and films from other content holders for the service. This was all an attempting to stay competitive with other streaming services as there were already a lot of players, but huge and many start-ups. Not only getting access to content from other content holders, but Apple was also working to create original content in production for the future. Apple also gives users a free trial, which many decided to go on to paid service, after experiencing the service. Later on, Apple included the Apple TV+ service in their new Apple One subscription bundle, which also helped them to gain subscribers. Apple One subscription plans change according to regions as demand and user needs are different in different regions.

Calls is an upcoming American English adaptation of the French drama television series on the same name. The original series was created by Timothée Hochet. The newest version of Calls is also created by Hochet with the co-production between Apple TV+ and French network Canal+. Apple has high hopes for the show. they describe this show as a groundbreaking immersive television experience. The show will try to use only audio and minimal abstract visuals to tell the storyline. Apple is guaranteeing that the series will be a bone-chilling enjoyable treat. The series will revolve around a group of strangers who are living a chaotic life in an apocalyptic event. The show will be available to watch everywhere around the world where Apple TV+ is available to watch. Directed by Fede Álvarez, in this show, Viewers will be able to watch all nine episodes in every region. Each episode will be having a length of 12-minute each. Every episode is told with the help of a series of phone calls. Which will use sharp writing, along with using compelling voice talent and graphics to move forward the storyline. By using this, the series will transport the audience into familiar situations that quickly become surreal to them with thrilling and frightening moments. Calls prove that the real terror lies in one’s interpretation of what one cannot see on the screen. And this series will show how imagination can take them.
